―Description on the city

Gran Sarathal is the capital and most populous city of Royalandüs and the Main Lands. Surrounded by the Kings' Mountain, Gran Sarathal has been a major settlement for twenty millennia, its history going back to its founding by the Dark-Elf Empire, who named it Tānlánoyyk. Gran Sarathal's ancient core, the Royal Palace, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile (2.9 km2) boundaries and  had a resident population of 8,375, making it the most populated palace and the greatest number of Upper-Class civilians than any other in the world.

Gran Sarathal is a leading global city, with strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, research and development, and tourism. It is one of the world's leading financial centres and is one of the wealthest cities in Amnsorth. It is the world's most-visited city as measured by its daily intake of travellers, wonderers and scouts, and has the world's largest horse-carrage transport system, with tens of thousands of carts entering and leaving its bounderies every day. Gran Sarathal is the world's leading investment destination, hosting more international retailers, shopkeepers and blacksmiths than any other city. Gran Sarathal's 9 schools, make it one of the largest scources of education in the world.

Gran Sarathal has a diverse range of peoples and cultures, and more languages spoken within its walls than any other civilization. With a population of over 1.8 million, it is the most populated city in the Main Lands, and the fifth most populated in Amsnorth.

Gran Sarathal is the home to the Royal Monarchy, and the greatest Great House in the world, House Heartan. Each member for thousands of years have been the leading ruler of all relams, lands and countires in the whole of Amsnorth. The King of Amsnorth holds more power over, finance, education, war, and other affairs than any other leading ruler.

The etymology of Gran Sarathal's offical and known name is uncertain. It is an ancient name, found in sources from the Creation Period, with old manuscripts showing several names from different languages, which some have
Capital City

Gran Sarathal from a wide view

translated as being Tānlánoyyk and Xuèoohééhàn. The word Tānlánoyyk, comes from the ancient Elvish word for Tānlá- greatness and Noyyk-people. The second name Xuèoohééhàn is possibly the translation from and even more ancient tongue, than is impossible to translate into Rochillion. But its letters show and possible resembelence between Elvish and Dwarfik. The name Gran, translating to Grand, became its main name thousands of years ago, because of people's struggle with the name's letters and wording. Over time its name changed and changed, it was not until SA 460 did its final name, Gran Sarathal become a global name.

Two recent discoveries indicate probable very early settlements near the Garden of Beauty. Around TA 3000, there were discoveries of an underground settlement, dating back to even before the Creation Period, which made many believe that there were ancient beings even before the invading Dark-Elves

Elf Infested CityEdit

Although there is evidence of scattered underground settlements in the area, the first major settlement was founded

by the Dark-Elves after the invasion around FA 1. There have been many historical evidence that Emperor Shalimal burnt the settlements that lay around the area, and reformed the ruined structures into larger buildings which eventually lead to the foundations of the city.

With the increasing population of elves in the Main Lands, Gran Sarathal was their main hub of settlement. Because of its strong connection with finance, jobs and its high trading routes between the Dwavern Kingdom, all races decided to make up residence there, with the most popular being the Dark-Elves.

Dwavern SarathalEdit

With the collapse of Dark-Elf in SA 2,960, the Dwavern Domain moved into their newly proclaimed capital. Golden Halls ceased to be the capital and the walled city of the Dwavern city was effectively abandoned. Sarathal became their new home, as it had become the elves before them.

Instead of using the title of Emperor of Amsnorth, Yhakara Grazaxe, made the Main Lands up of different monarchy countries, allowing different highborn nobles to become royals.
