Wars of Amsnorth

The Great Purge, the greatest battle where dragons, humans, dwarves, hauket and elves all suffered greatly.

The Wars of Amsnorth are events that have taken place since the beginning of time. Each war differs from small civil wars, or battles, as Wars of Amsnorth are events that have changed the world for the better and worse.

There have been dozens of wars in the history of Amsnorth, but each one has been different. While many of these giant events have featured mass murder, caios and destruction, some have acutall played well in the favour of the people and Races of Amsnorth. 

While the humans are the race that start most of these wars, the Dark-Elves havr played a part in ever single main war. Why is unclear, but many would suspect that the dark-elves side with only the one they believe to be winning.

History

Background

When the first beings arrived on Amsnorth, there was always confict between them. The elves were the first ever mortals to begin rivalrly, and with that they split their races into, the Wood-Elves, Green-Elves and Dark-Elves.

The war between these elves was named the War of the First. It is said that this was the first ever war to have been fought, and the war that decided which of these beings were the strongest to rule above the others. The Dark-Elves were the ones to become victorious from the battle, and they elected their own king. 

As time progressed, more mortal beings appeared, and more wars took place for land and power. The Dark-Elves still held much control over most, but they were eventually defeated by the dwarves in the War of Gold and Black. 

While there were many wars that happened after, none has affected Amsnorth in such a way as the War of Kings. This massive war took over 15 years, and featured all monarchs, and was responsible for the creation of House Heartan, the royal family that has ruled for thousands of years.

The Great Purge was considered the most brutal of all wars, as it was respnsible for the deaths of over 2 million people, and plunged the lands into hundreds of years of slavery.
